  • Appointments are released for the following month 1-2 weeks before the next. You may also opt to be added on the waitlist and we will reach out to you should any appointment slots become available. Please follow @colorluxestudio on Instagram for real-time updates.

  • No. Only one person from the group needs to book the appointment.

    The person signing up will need to fill out the Gloss Genius form attached to your appointment confirmation email or text so that both parties will be able to fill out the required Pre- appointment form before your scheduled appointment time.

  • You can pay for the remaining balance and (*tips are also accepted) in cash, card or Zelle (preferred)/ Venmo after the consultation.

  • Absolutely! We even have a special men’s swatch fabric that we use for draping.

  • 1. Please complete the two forms prior to your appointment.

    • The first one is the form in Gloss Genius directly embedded in the confirmation email or text.

    • The second form is the External google form link sent in your appointment confirmation email or text.

    • If you are a party of two, the other member of your party who did not complete the booking will be sent the link to the form.

    2. To ensure we get accurate results, please arrive with a clean, bare face. No makeup, tinted moisturizer or sunscreen, earrings or colored contact lenses.

    If you arrive with any makeup I will kindly ask you to please remove it before we start our consultation as this will impede us from getting accurate color analysis results.

    3. Please consider wearing clear contacts instead of glasses. If not possible, that is fine. There may be some instances when I’ll request you to remove your eyeglasses briefly during certain parts of the consultation.

    4. If you wear a hijab, we ask, if possible, to choose a more neutral color

    5. Please do not wear clothing that may impede with the draping process, for example a hoodie, turtleneck or a tight collared shirt.

    6. Bring your makeup pouch.

  • Yes, there is plenty of parking available in the parking lot right outside the Image Studios building where our studio is located.

  • Unfortunately, only those who are signed up for a consultation can be present in the studio with the exception of a parent or guardian of a client that is under 18 years of age.

  • Although the overtone of your skin can change due to certain times of the year or other reasons, the undertone of your skin typically remains consistent. Therefore your season stays the same regardless of changes to your overtone.

  • No, we do not offer virtual consultations at this time. Since our consultation process is heavily driven by the draping process, we utilize over 180 fabrics to check whether you are warm or cool tone and the seasons and color palettes with natural or simulated natural light that can only be done in person or in our studio at this time.

  • Not at all! You’ll express your consent during the booking process, when I ask you to fill out the intake forms or required questionnaire prior to your appointment. I will ask you again in person just in case you change your mind.

    I only record those who consent to being posted on social media.

    I will also ask if I may take your picture at the end of the session while you hold up your seasonal palette board. I will also ask for consent posting the picture or if you would like me to cover your face for the post consultation photo that is totally fine and up to you too!

  • You are more than welcome to film. Please tag @colorluxestudio when posting as we’d love to share with other clients and followers.

  • To secure your appointment, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking. Appointments will be automatically cancelled if the deposit is not made within 24 hours.

  • Cancellations/ Reschedules: MUST give 48 hours notice, otherwise your deposit will be forfeited. Reschedule is available one time 48 hours before your appointment. The deposit is valid for 3 months.

    Late arrivals: Please show up on time. Your appointment will be cut short if you arrive late. If you don’t arrive within 15 minutes after your appointment time, your appointment will be cancelled and deposit forfeited.

    • No Shows- will be charged 20% of the appointment fee

  • Please be advised your appointment will be cut short if you arrive late. Please be aware that we maintain a 15-minute grace period to accommodate subsequent appointments and be respectful of everyone’s time. If you don’t arrive within 15 minutes after your appointment time, your appointment will be cancelled and deposit forfeited (deposit is non-refundable).
